We had had to cancel a couple of walks as the weather and ground conditions were so atrocious, so at the last moment the route was changed so that we went into Oxford, and did 4 miles visiting places of interest! The rain stayed off, and it was a good walk - many of us discovered bits of Oxford that we did not know ... we started at the Gloucester Green Bus Station, heading North along Worcester Street and Walton Street to Jericho, left into Richmond Street, past the Synagogue and right in to Canal Street, taking in St Barnabas Church, then west on Clarion Street the OUP, via the Mathematical Institute and the Shacrzman Institue to Park Town, though the University Parks - wonderful stands of Snowdrops, harbingers of Spring, to the main entrance, via Mansfield Road with the Gradel Building, complete with its "Hunky Punks" (the Medieval name for sculptures on the outside of buildings) and eventually to Broad Street, where we went our separate ways ... I think some might have dallied for Pizza somewhere.
A lovely walk, exploring our home town that I certainly dont know that well.
