We have had our March session of Scrabble. Two groups played, one of which had three players who between them scored over 500 points. Throughout the game there was keen competition to score as highly as possible and to finish first.
The highest scoring player was “pipped” at the post by a player who used all her tiles and subsequently boosted her score with the tile points contributed by the losers! All good fun.
We managed to spread the play throughout the board achieving four of the triple word scores.
Fun Fact: Did you know that “qi” is a word and is a highly valuable 2-letter Scrabble word (11 points) representing Chinese life force, playable without a 'U'. See the board.
Other QI-starting words include the plural “Qis”, include: qigong, qibla, qiviut, qindar and more.
