One of the great things about the walking group is that you get to see areas that you dont know ... personally I ve discovered the locale - both town and country and really enjoyed doing so.
This walk was inspired by the book ‘Oxford Hidden Walks’ by Victoria Bentata Azaz - we followed, more or less, walk 2 (Rivers, Meadows and Colleges).
It was a wonderful walk to do on a bright, spring day ... we started at the northwest corner of Christ Church Meadow (at the beginning of the main path running south, just past the tourist centre) and ended at the southwest corner of the University Parks, Following the river for much of the walk, and then going into Mesopotamia! Glorious views of the Dreaming Spires, wild flowers, sunshine, and great company ... what more could you want?
Thanks to David and Michele for setting it up.
