The walk started in Bladon but we rendezvoused on the S7 bus, some of us getting on in Kidlington, and others in Woodstock. Getting off at the White House in Bladon, then up to the Church, through the Church Yard, past Churchill's grave, and then to the Bladon and Worton Heath. The footpath there was been greatly improved, gravelled for it's whole length through the woods. Vastly improved from it's old, muddy, flooded state!
These been A LOT of forestry work in the woods, huge areas cleared.
Then across the (muddy) fields into Begbroke, past a fairy village a short walk along the A44 to the science park, underneath a lot of Missourithen Cross country, to Roundham Lock, and eventually back to Kidlington. Some of us finished with Coffee and lunch in Stanley's. A total of 3.7 miles.
Led by Bob, who had included information on the bus to catch, but also sure if that'there was no mud'.
It was a cold but great walk. The next one will be in two weeks time.
