Our branch has continued to grow since its commencement in 2006 and follows the goals of the u3a Trust in seeking to bring people together. Our members are from all walks of life wishing to join those with similar interests and to make new friends. This branch offers varied and interesting monthly speaker meetings as well as an increasing number of interest groups. Most activities take place during the daytime. Our members no longer work full-time - they come together for fun things to do in retirement.

Our speaker meetings are in St Hugh’s Centre, Hensington Road, Woodstock OX20 1JL (map) on the first Thursday of the month. Doors open at 2.15pm for the speaker at 2.30pm. Visitors are welcome for the nominal fee of £3. After the invited speaker has given their talk and had questions there is time to mix with other members and have tea/coffee/biscuits.
Do come along to meet us and find out more.
Our monthly newsletters are sent to all members via email:

Members also have access to our many Interest groups and if these are full, waiting places are offered. Interest groups develop around members' own interests and skills and their willingness to run a group and share their knowledge.
Our branch is linked to the Thames Valley Network of u3as where there is access to other talks/lectures by Zoom. Other regions offer Summer Schools and other events and access to these can be found through the various websites or magazine.
We are a part of the National Third Age Trust, who oversee the 1000 plus u3a's in the United Kingdom. They have a brilliant series of online talks, information from here

The Trust publish u3a Matters magazine which is optionally delivered to your home. Please add the fee to your membership as on the membership form. A full year gives five issues.
